An Early Christmas Present

It’s been three years now since the Chamber has asked its members for an increase in their annual dues and, yes Virginia, we’re going to hold the line again in 2011.

In their preliminary budget discussions the Board of Directors have agreed to look for alternative revenue sources to cover both our day to day costs and also provide additional membership services. That’s going to be quite a challenge since dues currently cover only about 63% of annual expenses! (The Golf Outing, Consumer & Business Expo and a few other projects cover most of the deficit.) To the rescue is the Chamber’s new fundraising committee and their first effort to generate additional revenue.

Santa’s Snowball Raffle is currently underway with cash prizes of $1000, $500 and $250 scheduled to be awarded in a drawing on December 9, 2010. Tickets are only one dollar each and may be purchased from Leads Group Members, Ambassadors, Members of the Board of Directors and the Chamber office. Anyone else willing to help by selling a few tickets is certainly encouraged to step forward and volunteer.

Eblast ads have a new price! Want to stand out from the crowd? Exclusive email blast ads are NOW available for $50. You have the option of having your email ad go out on Monday or Wednesday. Your ad will go to all Chamber of Commerce members, and only one ad will be distributed on Monday and one on Wednesday. Ads need to be in a gif or jpeg format and no larger than 250 KB and 720 x 800 pixels.

Get the word out! Advertising for the Oswego Chamber of Commerce Newsletter is $25 for a ¼ page ad (approximately 300 x 300 pixels) and $50 for a ½ page ad (600 x 300 pixels). Ads should be in gif or jpeg format. Deadline is the last week of every month.
