President’s Spotlight

'Tis the Season

Fall. The leaves are turning, birds are flocking in anticipation of their southern migration, and campaign signs are popping up daily. In preparation, I’m actively shopping for a new leaf blower, spending some time bird watching and forming opinions on the various candidates.

At this writing, it’s only 33 days until the General Election and I’m woefully underprepared to cast my ballot. For the most part, I find myself relying on the media and campaign advertising for information on the statewide races. Locally, I’ve met and visited with many of the candidates but not anywhere near all of them.

If you’re like me, you probably ought to attend the Chamber’s Candidate Meet and Greet Open House next Tuesday, October 5, between 5:30 and 8:30 pm under the tent at Pearce’s at Fox Bend Golf Course. The event is hosted by our Legislative Committee and you don’t even have to sign up in advance, just drop in.

Eblast ads have a new price! Want to stand out from the crowd? Exclusive email blast ads are NOW available for $50. You have the option of having your email ad go out on Monday or Wednesday. Your ad will go to all Chamber of Commerce members, and only one ad will be distributed on Monday and one on Wednesday. Ads need to be in a gif or jpeg format and no larger than 250 KB and 720 x 800 pixels.
