Spring Has Sprung

Springtime at the Oswego Chamber of Commerce is celebrated with one big event after another.

After months of planning, our 2011 Business and Consumer Expo came together on April 9th with nary a hitch and a crowd estimated at nearly 2000. Special thanks to our sponsors, exhibitors, expo committee and event co-chairs Tony Sidio and Andy Clements.

Less than two weeks later, our Annual Meeting was conducted at Whitetail Ridge Golf Course where District 308 Superintendent Dan O’Donnell was our featured speaker. We thanked our retiring Directors and welcomed those just elected or re-elected. Congratulations to those elected: Jeannie LaMarre, Tony Sidio, Keith Wolff, Nicole Tudisco, Gail Gauger and Matt Kewenig. They’ll participate in their 1st Board meeting on May 10th where officers for 2011 will be elected and areas of responsibility assigned.

Next up is the Grand Opening/Open House at our new Chamber office on Wednesday, May 25. Details are still coming together but surely it will be an event not to be missed. And while you’re thinking about it, today would be a great time to update the Chamber information in your address book. We’re now at 63 W. Washington Street. All other information remains the same.

Steve Hatcher
Rounding out the Spring calendar is our Annual Golf Outing on June 2nd at Whitetail Ridge. Tim Leverich and his golf committee promise more fun and value than ever. You can register online at www.oswegochamber.org and click on the golf outing link. Think about using this premier event to show your appreciation to your valued customers. They’ll be glad you included them in your foursome.

Summer begins on June 21st. Where did Spring go?
